Seven Shades Of Hate

  Most of us have watched movies depicting a bigot. We have heard their arguments that attempt to rationalize twisted viewpoints, ignorant rants of propaganda and malicious violence. As spectators, we tend to cast these idiots off as bad-apples and think little of them or the rhetoric they spew. 

We forget that these individuals are not alone in their mindsets, and their negativity actively seeks to draw large followings. Haters need support, and they prey on those who are hurting and looking for someone to blame. Their modus operandi is simple – point their hateful fingers at someone or some group of people and blame them for all the ills in the world.  

This tactic has been successful from the beginning of time – just read your Bible. For instance: One group of Herdsman look upon a lush-green landscape and decide they want it. First, they must roust an army with hate propaganda…

“Why should those terrible, less-than-humans, enjoy that land – they don’t deserve – we do!”

“Are we less than men? Are we going to just sit back and watch our children starve while those good-for-nothings have all that good land, and we have nothing?”

“They don’t need all that good land – they don’t appreciate it. They don’t even know what to do with it. Think of all the good we could do if we, had it?”

“If we ask them to share the land, they may conspire to kick us out later – so we should be on the safe side and wipe them out so that we don't have to worry about them later on.”

“We are doing them a favor, that can’t be happy living the way they are – they don’t have our God, Technology, Bloodline...Whatever.”

I’m sure you see the pattern by now. The process of hate is as simple as 1-2-3. First, there is the covetous nature of the hater to want something that the “OTHERS” have. Next, they must dehumanize the “OTHERS” to justify the evil they are plotting. Lastly, there is the rallying cry that gets members on board with the plan of destruction of “The OTHERS.”

The process of convincing followers to join in the eradication of a group of people is not a difficult undertaking when tapping into the hurts and pains of “Lazy People,” who are looking for a way out of their own situation with a quick-fix, rather than attacking the heart of their plight. Perhaps they are not using their own resources effectively? It may be that they need to seek new modes and technologies? In truth – blaming “OTHERS,” is the easiest and most cowardly way to address the ills they are facing. 

It is challenging to think of new ways to operate, implement untried and untested methods and engage new ideas. Slaughtering one’s neighbor in a jealous rage and taking their goods is the way Cane did it with his brother, Able and people are still using that method today. Throughout history, entire tribes and whole cultures have been decimated from the face of the earth by neighboring peoples who wanted their land, women and resources. That said, here are the seven shades of hate.

1. SELF HATRED
As the most pervasive and insidious form of hatred; Self-Hate can spread exponentially from the afflicted person to all their contacts and interactions. They are perpetually discontent and seek to ensure that no one else enjoys peace. They find fault in all things and all peoples. Furthermore, they live as a blight upon the earth and prayer and therapy is needed to restore a sense of humanity into their hearts.

2. COVETOUS / ENVY /WANT
Necessity is said to be the mother of invention, but want one of the founding-fathers of hate, as it tends to beget envy. In the example above, we see a tribe who has not considered exploring new ways to cultivate their own land, so that it might become more fruitful and productive – instead they have said in their hearts, “Let us take the good land from those people who posses it.” Want is not to be confused with need. Most people will find a way to obtain the things that they genuinely “NEED,” to survive – while want is often the lack of satisfaction with what one already possesses. Want a bigger home, a nicer car, the latest fashion, to keep up with the Jones. Want begets a covetous spirit. We covet, first with our eyes (seeing something that someone else has), then in our hearts (devising a plot to take it from them).

3. BITTERNESS
Unresolved issues, especially those derived in childhood, can lead to a lifetime of hostile emotions associated with the issue – in particular. An abusive parent may raise a child, who, in-turn, abuses others. Bullying has a particularly cruel side effect, as many adults are still living with the pain of being bullied during childhood. 

The feeling of helplessness suffered during childhood abuses can often resurface in the face of adult situations of stress, causing the victim to re-live those childhood experiences in full detail. The ability to forgive and move-on is sometimes lost when the victim has learned to use that bitterness as a crutch or a weapon. The very bitter memories that caused great pain are the same ones that drive the need for approval in some individuals and fuel success in others.

4. PROJECTIONS
Like Self-Hate, "Projecting" stems from ones’ own dysfunction: A thief may feel that everyone steals. A Liar may doubt the honesty of everyone else. An unfaithful spouse may project suspicion on their mate. We have all heard the term, “It’s OK, everyone is doing it.” This is another form of projection – as one must convince themselves that their behavior is socially acceptable by projecting their own standards upon others in order to justify and continue the negative behavior.

5. ISM
Separatism, Fascism, Racism, Sexism – The list is endless as the “Us-Vs-Them,” mindset keeps people from investigating unity and engaging in peace. Our differences are a part of our beauty. But Isms set us apart from one-anther and creates untold strife.

6. GOD COMPLEX
History has provided countless Tyrants who’s God-complexes have driven them to act-out mad fantasies, blood-lusts, mass murders and the like. The serial killer who derives sexual excitement from the torture of innocence is in league with the dictator, whose desire for total control and unquestioned obedience leads to human slaughter in mass numbers. 

The same lack of humanity and regard for life drives a hunter to kill an endangered animal for sport. Control-Freaks are found in Abusive Homes, Cults, Government Offices, Sweat-Shops, Prostitution Stables, Correctional Facilities, Squad-Cars and every other walk of life where one has been entrusted with power over others. As power often breads corruption, we needn’t look far to witness the God-complex in action as the entrusted power is abused.

        7. DEMONIC SPIRITS

Surely, all the aforementioned aspects are the result of evil spirits inhabiting the minds of those who perpetrate evil deeds. There are those who struggle with the very ideas they expound, while there are those who are steadfast in destructive pursuits. Demons assist weak-minded persons by providing examples and reasons to continue on their wayward paths, while others may seek to correct themselves; cease and desist their actions and get help to live a better quality of life as they realize the pain they are causing others and themselves.

The neglected and abused child and the spoiled brat may internalize the world around them differently, but it is how they process the growing pangs of life that will determine the level of compassion they possess for their fellow-man. A spirit of peace-loving, brotherhood is not inherently given to the poor or the victimized, but it is the product of meekness and empathy. It is the duty of each of us to focus on the positive aspects of our existence upon the face of the earth, strive towards goodness, spread good-cheer and be prepared to fight tyranny and hate with love and compassion as our weapons of choice. This is how we, each of us share love and banish evil in our own corner of the world.

Living without savings and a “Rainy Day Fund” is often the result of a Consumer Mindset. It’s a set-up to get soaked when the rains come – and they will come to us all.

We’ve all become more aware of this cultural phenomenon since the Great Housing Meltdown. Working to stay broke has become common-place in our society because we are accustomed to instant gratification and constant advertisement bombarding us with all the magical things that would make us happy, if we only had them NOW.  

My mother said: “It’s not how much you make, it’s how much of it you keep.”

Dad said: “Don’t let all your money slip through your fingers like water, learn to stop a dollar.” He often spoke of my grandmother, who could squeeze a dollar so tight that the eagle would scream.

Living through the Great Depression taught an entire generation the principals of Frugality. Now my generation is revisiting those same principals with the recent shift to downsized lifesyles and Tiny Houses.

Many are reviving the Family Farm, and re-learning the fine art of feeding themselves.

This isn’t to say that consumerism is dead; not by a long shot.  But many of us have seen, first hand, how easily wealth and the stature it brings, can be stripped away in the face of sudden economic down-turn. Those of us who had all our eggs in one proverbial basket; whether it was a career, home equity, a meager savings account or an unreliable backup plan, felt the sting the hardest when that which we valued, lost its value.

Children crowd our nation’s classrooms all through their youth, only to enter the real world under-educated and ill-prepared for the actuality of daily life. While memorizing irrelevant facts and dealing with peer-pressure is time consuming and energy draining, learning the basics of Self Preservation, Creative Problem Solving and Critical Thinking have been done away by persons who neither have or know any REAL CHILDREN. If they did know some children, they would know that our country is quickly going to hell in a handbag, because our youth are not learning the critical skills of Survival and Progress.

Before I go further, please let me state that I am neither pointing the Blame-Finger, nor am I criticizing any parties or persons. I’m simply stating the obvious. We must do better at preparing our youth for prosperity, if we are to experience a future of growth as a Nation.

Teaching youngsters the true use of money (A Tool To Get Things Done) will not inhibit economic growth, nor will it curb spending. In fact, future generations will spend more because they will have more to spend. They will save and earn interest, invest and create growth. They will suffer less stress related illness, and their creativeness will flow, bringing new technologies and fruitful endeavors.

Of course, many Pay Day Loan offices will close their doors, but they will be replaced by new businesses that bring even more value into their communities.

That’s all I’m saying…SMILE!!!

MADAM HERO

Say the word HERO and most brains form images of Caped Crusaders, Crime Fighters, Super-Powered Beings and Civil Servants. And though Teachers, Soldiers, Civil-Servants and countless others do save and changes lives, the World is filled with Unsung Heroes  & Heroines who pour out themselves to those around them, daily. 

Moms & Dads top the list as such and are seen as Heroes to the children that honor them, often later in life, after becoming Parents themselves and fully grasping the true depth of sacrifice their own parents made to ensure them the best quality of life possible.

Today I pay Tribute to My Aunt Ruth, who has been a Genuine Heroine to Generations: and though I’ve been Blessed by Many Beautiful Women in my Family & throughout Life, especially after My Mother passed on from this mortal realm, it was My Aunt Ruth that chatted with me daily, before she fell ill, Always offering encouragement, wisdom and insight.     

There’s not a female child born into Big Mama Ruth’s family (however extended or removed) that has not donned one of her Authentic Crochet Masterpieces: mittens, hats, scarves, ponchos, vests, afghans, skirts & skirt sets. She believes in dressing well & bade us all, likewise.

Aunt Ruth’s Community, Church and the Many Civic Organizations, to which she belonged (Lifetime-Easter Star) have been Blessed by her loving dedication to improvement, literacy and beautification. 

She never went anywhere without touching hearts and lifting lives. Aunt Ruth’s motto “ Do & Be Your Best,” has helped many to reach higher and achieve more.

I Agree

I agree with one thing that the wealthy tend to hark on relentlessly; that is the fact that the buck has to stop somewhere. Giving is a matter of choice and when I’ve worked my hinny off to afford a comfortable life only to find some fool trying to take it by force - of course I will fight with all my power to keep it. Too often I’ve been approached (begged) or threatened to give something that is MINE. I’m a caring sharing person and I believe in philanthropy. But I am a citizen and I have the right to fulfill my own pursuits of happiness without fear of wrath by someone who mistakenly thinks they should share my fortune by attrition. I write these words thoughtfully as I have given away fortunes only to be regarded as a sucker.

Having experience a plunge into financial crisis, I now guard my wealth with far more implicity and shrewdness. I care for my fellow man - every one. But I can give only so much time, energy and resources before the coffers are left empty, and I am quite aware of whom I cannot turn to for aid of any kind.

THANKS AMERICA!

Once again, Americans have made their choice; proving that they are a people of inclusion, peace and wealth for all. Many sacrifices have been made to get to this point but the work has just begun as many Democrats failed to understand the importance of voting democratic across the board, thereby giving the President the support he needs to be even more effective in his appointed duties.

Basically, rich republicans will continue to pimp our system by blocking every move Obama makes for the good of all peoples. There can be no doubt that Americans are held hostage and economically raped as giant firms, corporations and special interest groups fight to keep average citizens caught in economic limbo.

Please understand how this works by using a game of tag as an example…

Lets say you’re a wealthy republican and you’re it. Instead of shielding your eyes and counting as the other players hide, you pay someone else to tell you where everyone is hiding then you go find them all. That’s the first advantage that wealthy republicans have; the power and wealth to sidestep the rules of the game and come out winning without doing their fair share of hustling. They can pay others to do the dirty work that keeps their hands clean when the crap hit’s the fan, because when the jig is up, it will be the “Rat-Fink” who gets the beat-down while the cheater is getting out of dodge.

Before being discovered, the wealthy republican has had plenty of time to get a firm lead I the game because he/she has already scoped out the best hiding places and they are always close to the “Free Zone.” And they aren’t hesitant to offer up a hiding neighbor if it will buy them time to get away instead.

Wealthy republicans know how to change the rules to suit the situation. So when called on a particular game strategy, they are apt to argue down any opposition with insane “logic” that leaves other players baffled and befuddled.

While other players are quarreling about the outcome of the game, the wealthy republican has declared himself/herself winner and taken home the prize.

Democrats and other people who want equality to be the norm rather than the exception must first…

Stop fighting amongst each other and come to reasonable understanding and agreement on key issues that effect all our great nation’s inhabitants.

Give! Time, money, talent and prayer are all needed - all the time, not just during election years. Involvement is not a word, it’s an action and a commitment. Getting to know our neighbors, community leaders and institutions is not the equivalent of nosiness; it’s the togetherness that has enabled all cultures to thrive and prosper. Only when the house, nation, family, community or soul is divided, can it be truly conquered.

As a nation, we have banned together once more to overcome the oppression and tyranny of the wealthy republicans who think we are victims, beggars and valueless beings. Now we must strive to rebuild what has been devastated by greed, scandal, corruption, indifference and hate. We must lend a hand and give a hoot about hope…hope for all Americans.

IF THE SOUTH HAD WON?

 

My Father told me that when he grew up in Attala County Mississippi, during the 1930s -1940s, “A nigger was just a nigger!” Back then it didn’t matter how much money you had or how you worked, the system was designed to “keep a nigger in his place.” Anyone with basic American history knows this fact, but what many don’t know or (don’t want to except) is that Rich Republicans see all poor people as THE NEW NIGGERS. Some will call me all kinds of bigots after reading this but that doesn’t change the fact that keeping a large portion of the population strung-out, burned-out, knocked-up under educated, over worked, under paid, and lulled into a state of catatonia through mindless television programming and every other vice and distraction that can be thrust into their paths, is simply a way to maintain control: The same way a parent might placate a child with sweets just to get a few moments of quiet in the house---No Difference!

The south didn’t win. So a new game plan was set in action so that those on top ( Would-not Could) stay on top. Don’t get me wrong, being on top is a very good thing. But not when it is achieved via the blood of others.

Why do I get down with this chatter? Simple!

Have you ever seen two hungry animals go after the same morsel? Sharing is not in that equation - Ever! The strongest or the quickest get’s it. This same principal is applied to the poor. “Throw the dogs a bone and let them scrap it out” As for the fools fighting in the pit, it’s winner take all. Not realizing that the real feast is being hidden.

I sincerely hope I don’t come off as militant or angry; I’m just informed. Sharing has always been more common among those who have the least. Take the woman in The Bible who gave a few pennies, but it was all she had. It’s high time for us to be just that giving…GIVE OUR OWNSELVES A CHANCE!!!

If you seek government assistance under false pretences, i.e.; while working, you would face the stiffest legal penalties and be labeled fraud, cheat, project queen and a myriad of slurs inducing images of great wealth, big cars, furs and jewels. When truth would more likely yield a person that had fallen so far behind during a stint of unemployment, that the needed to continue receiving benefits just to catch up on utility bills and the family members they owe. No body with a thimble of common sense would suffer the headache for such small pittance; less work robbing a stage coach.

 

Dig this. GM was bailed out by the government, right. Corporate Welfare is what it’s called, right? Are you aware that this company might have been worth trillions by now if the hadn’t allowed the oil companies to burry the EV1. This automobile was efficient, electric and given time on the market it would have become affordable.

We know that the next wave of jobs will be in clean energy, so why do they fight Obama when he proposes initiatives that could lead the way in renewably and sustainability. Some of you may know the U.S. Government pays foreign scholars to come here and work in technological fields; they pay everything, travel, housing, five & six figures, and in some cases make them citizens because the jobs they hold cannot be filled with U.S. college graduates. WHY, YOU ASK? Well, the corporations and labs that seek foreign workers for these high paying jobs- say American schools just aren’t turning out top-notch grads/candidates for this job market. But just think of what that same $$$ could do if it were channeled into American schools.

 

AAAAhhhhhhhhwwwwwww people, it’s all messed up and we know that it will take an act of God, to change things but that does not mean we shouldn’t do all we can, and one thing that we can do is go the extra mile in helping our young people see how they are being PIMPED, how the are being PLAYED, especially when they are led to believe that gaining knowledge is something you do to please a teacher, parent or anyone else. The other thing that we can do is use the voice that others DIED to give you - Vote and give Ourselves, our President and our Children a better chance.

 



The Rich want to Pimp America

I know that everyone is ready to cast their votes in the upcoming elections, so why would I take the time to voice concerns about candidates? Simple. To share with everyone what I’ve learned while researching options.

On the national front, many Americans may not know that there are wealthy persons who derive great pleasure and benefit from the impoverishment of others. Just like a Slave Driver, Flesh Peddler or Master Pimp, these persons need feeble-minded followers to build their empires into the massive frameworks that continue to flourish exponentially. One “ho” doesn’t make a pimp rich, just as a few unemployed people don’t create a recession. But when a pimp’s whores are trained to recruit other wayward souls, then his/her stable grows and the money pours in. Such is the case with a Government run by wealthy hedonist who know nothing of the plight of the “Average People” that they have been chosen to represent. Most of these politicians have known wealth all their lives. They have no idea what a single parent endures to raise children, keep them safe, in school and on the right path. They are brainless to the horrors faced by working families as their funds plummet from the high costs of food, health care, and other basic necessities of living. Most wealthy politicians are clueless to the experience of foreclosure. And loosing the family home is so common that many Americans and now living in a permanent state of mental decline and clinical depression.

Why do so many politicians spend so much time slinging mud at President Barack Obama? Because they know that he understands the issues of most Americans! He has been in the shoes of many of them and he truly wants America to be a better place for All it’s Citizens! Not just the rich. Not just the movie stars and athletes. Obama wants every hard-working man, woman and teen to peruse their dreams in the country that was built on dreams.

As the first President to introduce legislation against Human Trafficking, he is informed about the underrepresented and he is in touch with the most vulnerable of our country’s population. President Obama is not yielding to the rich, therefore they want him out.

Lies and propaganda must not win over truth. Look around! The rich will tell us that there is no money, yet they continue to BUY! SPEND! And even SPURGE on the desires of their fancy---while the rest of us struggle to pay light bills and eat. The rich go and do as they please while average citizens are incarcerated for driving without auto insurance, failing to pay taxes and a plethora of other minor offences, that mark them as criminals and tear asunder families. Unemployed husbands commit desperate acts while mothers fall asleep behind the wheels of cars after working two - and even three jobs. Teens fill detention centers for lack of constructive activates while the rich send their children to private lessons at country clubs.

People! Be ye not deceived. President Obama did not create the dire state in which we now exist, but he is working to turn our country around - back to the Great Nation that is once was; where all had a chance to realize The American Dream.

-The rich did not want everyone to have health care…they have it.

-The rich do not want to pay fair tax rates…we pay them first.

-The rich do not want immigrants to enjoy the wealth of this

nation…but, the gladly send our jobs abroad.

-The rich wage war on drugs…they import them without fear.

-The rich employ whole law firms to defend their infractions…if I have

a job, I don’t qualify for free legal representation.

-The rich strip our schools of operating funds…while sending their

children to private institutions.

-The rich call us beggars when we seek government

assistance…while requesting millions in aid to bolster failing

companies and corporations.

-The rich call us animals when we stage demonstrations in the

street…yet they fund wars in other countries just to sell the bullets

and bandages to them.

-The rich tell us to eat healthy…yet; price fixing causes vegetables

and milk to cost more than candy and soda.

-The rich say we are lazy…yet they employ immigrants to do the jobs

that we apply for.

-The rich can afford to spoil their children…many Americans can’t

buy medicine when their kids get sick.

-The rich can stay in hotel suites that cost $2,500 - $9k per

night…many Americans can’t pay their mortgage or rent. Click here

Haven’t we had enough of their lies and tricks. Don’t fall for it people. Remember Regan’s “Trickle Down Effect ?” What do you remember trickling your way? I remember Crack trickling into my neighborhood. I remember prices rising while my paycheck dwindled. I remember the lies and I’m not hearing it or having it.

The rich might think of themselves as Master Pimps but I’m not on the stroll for them!

FIGHTING THE REAL ENEMY

Most of us know that God is not the author of confusion, yet Satan throws rocks, hides his hands and before we know it we are slugging it out with an innocent by-stander, like a bar-brawl in an old western movie. Why is it so difficult to recognize the true culprit when all hell breaks loose? Now the Devil has run some foul Pimp-Game when he does the dirt and turns us on each other. Like a ventriloquist throwing his voice so that the sound appears to come from the puppet (dummy), the Devil knows how to insight an argument, a lovers quarrels, sibling rivalry, family feuds, gangland rumbles, race riots, religious conflicts and even world wars. He is a master in the dark art of “Starting Crap.” Putting enmity between humans is his favorite pastime. For Satan, causing strife is not just a job…it’s an adventure!

Like confused rats in a burning building, we trample each other when the going gets rough, instead of helping one-another to find the path to safety. And though that same burning building my be equipped with multiple fire extinguishers, they can only be effective if used and used properly.

This is the ordeal we face when we fail to use the weapons that Jehovah has provided. Having all that we need to battle The Evil One and his host of Demons is of no consequence if we are spiraling in a whirlwind of fear and confusion. Alas, we need not be Priests or Exorcists to banish wicked spirits and the destruction they bring. God has given us awesome tools, ever-ready for use; PRAISE and PRAYER!

Praising THE LORD GOD JEHOVAH in the midst of trials may or may not mysteriously pay that overdue bill, but it will certainly center our minds on the fact that we are Blessed in spite of our challenges. Lifting our voices in songs of praise may not eradicate the source of turmoil in our lives but it is sure to prevent us from giving Satan any undue glory.

“How can I Praise God when my world is falling apart?”

This was the question that was posed to me a short time ago.

Let’s take Mr. Blank. Mr. Blank is an ordinary person, like most of us, struggling daily to just keep from drowning in the sea of life. His wife is ill and his children are rebellious. Mr. Blank has more debt than income and his truck needs repair. He’s dealing with migraines and irritable bowels; not to mention he hasn’t rested well in a good while. His favorite uncle died and he couldn’t afford to attend the funeral, half-way across the country. These are not the kinds of troubles that people usually hang themselves over, but they are weighing heavily on Mr. Blanks heart.

At the invitation of a good friend, Mr. Blank has hit a joint. Now, he can be found most weekends, chill’n with his crew and kick’n back a few brewskies. No harm in that-right? Well, consider that Mr. Blank could be spending his limited funds in a much better manner and that it is no comfort to his sick wife that he is talking to his buddies more that he talks to her. His children have discovered his new pastime and now they have abandoned all parental respect for him or his words because they view him as a hypocrite. Mr. Blank will tell anyone that his weekend escapism makes his feel better. But the Suckiness of his whole situation is compounded by his efforts to excuses his mind from the reality of his plight. When the high is gone- the troubles return.

Might Mr. Blank consider that THANKING & PRAISING GOD WITH GENUINE APPRECIATION FOR WHAT HE DOES HAVE IN LIFE, may seem like a simple exercise in “taking your mind off your troubles” but it’s so much more. That same energy used to get high could be transformed into a powerful weapon to take the sting out of the darts that Satan is continually throwing. The time spent chatting about misery could be time well spent encouraging his friends and family to strive for more joy. And hours wasted with fair-weather friends could be precious moments cherishing the woman that he has promised to love and care for.

The list goes on and on. The rewards of constructive use of time are endless, and what more constructive way to spend our time than in praise and service of the Great Creator. If and idol mind is the Devil’s workshop, then we’d better get busy on the work at hand. The suffering of the individual is important to that individual but it’s also important to God. And though we have limited power to change the events and circumstances that influences our lives, we do have power and control over the way we react to those events and to the degree in which we allow ourselves to be effected and bitterly marred.

Instead of giving Satan credit for screwing up our lives; thereby giving him bragging rights and control (Control is seldom taken, it’s mostly given away), we have the tools to fight this real and powerful enemy; not in and of ourselves, but by Calling on the only Force, Spirit, Entity, Divine Creator, Merciful Being, Loving and Holy Father, The Great I Am, who is all powerful and more than capable of dealing with this devil in the spirit realm. He sent us a brother so that we need not feel alone- JESUS! What more do we need…Faith! After all, why even grab that tiny, kitchen fire extinguisher if the blaze has spread throughout the house. Then it’s time to call 911! Prayer is not just our 911 to God; it’s our spiritual food, our battery charger, it’s even our smoke detector to help us recognize when Satan is stalking around, playing with matches. Prayer exists to prevent us from getting third-degree burns over 99% of our lives. Praise is the stick that beats Satan back into his corner, and Prayer is the time out that enables us to catch our breath before we come out swinging. Prayer and praise are the boxing gloves that helps us throw blows…but we must know who to hit! To fight the real enemy we must develop keen sight and recognize him for all that he is. He has many names; here are a few that most of us are familiar with:

EXCESSIVE WORRY

COMPUSLISIVE BEHAVIOR

GOSSIPPING

HATRED

SELF DOUBT

GREED

UNKIND AND COLD HEARTEDNESS

EXCESSIVE ANGER

LINGERING DIRTY THOUGHTS

GENERAL LACK OF WELL-BEING

PERPETUAL LONLINESS

The general misconception is that Satan takes over a person and makes them kill some one or do something else of a dynamically dastardly nature. The truth is that he is constantly waging tiny wars and picking little fights to influence our thoughts. And it is our thoughts that designate our actions. So when a person says “the Devil made me do it.” the reality is “the Devil made me think it…and I chose to do it!”

Prayer is the lock that protects our thought pattern and makes it far more difficult for Satan to creep in and rob us of composure. Prayer aids us in exercising our free will to do what we know in our hearts to be the good and right thing. Actions like forgiving, being patient, listening calmly instead of flying off the handle, and showing compassion are all more challenging to engage when our ears are tuned to the Devil’s lies. We may want to shake hands and play nice, but we can’t stop thinking about how So-n-so did us or the rotten thing that Such-n-such did to us. Prayer is the loud speaker on the PA system of our soul that helps take our attention off the trash-talk coming out of Satan’s mouth.

When we learn to recognize the real villain, liar, trouble maker, thief, root-worker, swindler, hoodlum and General -All Around Mischief-Maker, then we will know how to get in Prayer and open a can of Whoop-A** on Satan and thus foil some of his shenanigans. And as for those trials that God permits, we will have the strength to endure without that insidiously destructive feeling of hopelessness.

PRAYER IS A WONDERFUL GIFT OF COMMUNICATION WITH GOD …LET’S PRACTICE PUTTING IT TO GOOD USE!!!

FEAR OF MONSTERS

I for one am afraid of Monsters. Not the kind of monsters that most of us have childhood memories about; the ones concerning nightmares and wet beds…my monsters are the kind that feed their thoughts on a diet of darkness. These are the kind of monsters that hide away evil in the hollows of their hearts, allowing it to fester and grow, ultimately consuming them. Just as the tree is known by the fruit that it bears, so is the monster by the deeds that it does.

Unlike the monsters that kept us awake at night, with visions of gnarling teeth, bloodstained claws, and hair growing from all parts of their bodies- these monsters have the faces of everyday people. They wear the faces of our neighbors, co-workers, clergy, and even our relatives. They are the people that we shake hands with and tell our troubles to. They are the people that we feel in-touch with as we go about our daily lives…and so we trust them.

We trust these people to drive us and cook for us; putting our very lives in their hands. We trust these people to love us. So there is no surprise that we trust them with our precious children. We know, that they know, that we love our babies. Yet these Monsters think very little of taking them from us, robbing them of their innocence, and breaking our hearts. The future is forsaken by these monsters as they feed their wicked fantasies on a generation.

The Gift of Gab

   It was nearly twenty years ago when I asked my dad if I talked too much. His answer was.." Sometimes a gift of gab comes in handy." As usual, Daddy was right. Though some folks would rather slap or kick, I know that the power of words bear far more force than violence. Comedians joke that you should knock out your kids. Is that really the extent of their communication level? Can they not find the simplistic words to share an idea with a child?
   So, you can't get through to your child without beating him/her. In school the teacher has to beat your child just to maintain order in the class. Soon, the cops, the spouse, the neighbor, even the world can only beat your child down, because that is the only language that they have learned. No words can shed light into the sad darkness of their pathetic lives and that same rage shall bury them and all things that are contaminated with the pain and minuteness of their existence

   Open your heart and give your child knowledge instead of regret. Open your mouth and give your child the truth of LOVE (Not the Pimp-hand), instead of preparing your child to be Pimped throughout life.
